100 Year Anniversary Celebration for Hamilton Beach/Proctor-Silex, Inc.
Event Overview
In 2004 Hamilton Beach/Proctor-Silex, Inc. celebrated the 100 year anniversary of its co-founders, Louis Hamilton and Chester Beach. To mark this once in a lifetime happening, HB/PS threw a party for 600 of its employees and their families. Event attendees enjoyed great cookout-style food, while visiting tents that were designed to send everyone on a “blast to the past.” The tents were designed to highlight and display some of the finer kitchen-related innovations of the last 100 years. There was even a children’s tent that celebrated the best toys and fads over the century. Employees painted pottery as their gift from the occasion, and plenty of Hamilton Beach products were on display, from the original hand motor to the new Electrics line.
