Rock the Boat - Godspeed Journey on the James
Project Overview
Echelon was contracted by Richmond Region 2007 to produce the events surrounding the Godspeed's journey to the Intermediate Terminal in May 2007. The celebration called for five days of activities - some private and most public - including a festival atmosphere with a musical stage from which the entire Richmond Symphony performed. Another night of entertainment included The Roots, and each day was filled with spectators enjoying five tall ships, heritage entertainment, re-enactors and fun vendors. Echelon was responsible for all event elements including layout, permitting, ship operational requirements, vendors, entertainment, volunteers, police, fire, EMT and sponsorship fulfillment.
