Willow Lawn Book Fair & Festival
Event Overview
Willow Lawn celebrated their 50th Anniversary with the inauguration of several signature events they hope to continue well past 2006. The Book Fair & Festival was a home run for readers and book lovers. The huge tent situated in the sweet spot of the newly renovated mall was filled to capacity for the full day of book buying and swapping.
The community was encouraged to drop off books at the mall and in return they received tickets that were good for books at the swap. The Library of Virginia was the beneficiary and also had their unique Virginia and literary gifts on site, as well as best sellers from Virginia authors.
Rounding out the Festival was an area dedicated to storytelling and crafts with WCVE, as well as music by the Whitlocks, a puppet show and tons of fun contests.
